HELLO! WHAT A PLEASURE TO MEET YOU.

My full name is María Eugenia Zavala de Chamorro (known as "Maru" to many). I am Nicaraguan and have been residing in Houston, TX, USA since 2018 with my husband and three children.

My personal life The foundation of my personal life lies in my faith, which is centered around the greatest commandment of loving God through love and service to my neighbor. Through my successes, failures, and lessons, I have come to understand that all aspects of my life align when I live this commandment fully, including the act of loving myself.

I am a passionate individual who finds joy in things that touch the heart: my family, friends, engaging conversations; the pleasure of reading and writing; walking amidst nature while praying the Rosary and contemplating the mysteries of Jesus and the wonders of God's creation; the invigorating thrill of creating and composing; the energy derived from good physical and spiritual nourishment, including my barre sessions and dancing. I cherish laughter and embraces. I take delight in simply being and existing.

Throughout spanning over 20 years my professional journey I have had the immense pleasure of supporting entrepreneurs in realizing their dreams. I have led the creation, development, and successful growth of businesses, approaching each endeavor with an owner's perspective. Notably, I spent seven years in the beautiful world of Coffee - Las Flores, overseeing every step from harvest to cup. This experience positioned me as one of the youngest women leading a successful emerging specialty coffee culture in Nicaragua. It later opened doors for me to lead two prestigious multi-million dollar tourism investment projects: NEKUPE and La Santa María.Following our departure from the country, a significant portion of my time was devoted to supporting my husband, Marcel, in our joint business venture, all while navigating constant transitions and relocations alongside my entire family.

Beyond my various administrative responsibilities, my greatest contribution has been injecting love into the process, ensuring that each individual within the organization is uplifted, recognizing their unique gifts and talents, and fostering a sense of unity toward a common purpose. This has made the organization feel like a second family to me.

FINDING MY CALLING

Despite having lived with a smile and longing for my own fulfillment through the fulfillment of others, not everything has been happiness. Until recently, my life had been a relentless search for my purpose, as if it were some grand , extraordinary thing I was meant to accomplish. With the growth of our family and the numerous changes we have experienced, I felt an immense need to redesign my life and redefine who I was after all that. However, despite recognizing that I have been showered with love, achievements, and blessings, the constant effort combined with the weight of losses and suffering left me emotionally exhausted and with a lingering feeling of "not being or doing enough."

Through my journey, I have learned that "taking charge" of my life involves not only excelling in everything I do but also focusing on my own well-being as both a cause and effect. Progress can be made through our efforts, but true transcendence can only be achieved by nurturing the health of our minds and spirits and relying on the strength of our faith. I have realized that while plans may advance through determined action, they are truly fulfilled when we simultaneously work on our thoughts, beliefs, and emotions that shape our identity .It is the intangible aspects of ourselves that serve as the driving force behind our accomplishments..

In my own quest for personal and professional fulfillment, I discovered that my true purpose lies in serving others. It was in those moments when I decided to shift my focus from exerting so much heartfelt effort into every aspect of life to channeling all that energy towards my heart and allowing it to guide my work. The Holy Spirit has guided me to understand that my purpose is intertwined with my calling. It is through me that God works to serve others. With my unique gifts, talents, experiences, and qualifications, but most importantly, with my mind and heart, my calling is to assist you in transcending in life by discovering and embracing your own path.

This is me living who I am…
…here I am for you.

Where do you want to go?
What do you want me to do?
What do you want me to say, and to whom?
GOD, HELP ME, PLEASE.
